"Foster care has been something that has been on my heart for awhile. I found Together We Rise on social media and thought this is something we can do right now to help out. I told my six year old daughter about it and she couldn't wait to get started! She raised the money mostly all by herself. I gave her a goal of $250 and she ended up raising $700! She had a lemonade stand during our garage sale and raised $356 selling lemonade. I then set up a fundraising page for her. She called family and friends telling them that she was raising money to buy duffel bags for kids in foster care and asked for donations. When our duffel bags and supplies came in she got a couple neighbor kids together to help her pack the duffel bags. My daughter has learned so much from this and we can't wait to help out in many other way " - The Shaw Family
